Many people buy small excavators for use in orchards, tea gardens, medicinal material bases, etc. Sometimes there are mountainous areas with steep slopes, and customers are worried about whether the car will overturn. In addition to the necessary slope restrictions for small excavators, they also need to To see if it can be opened, here are some tips on how to use an excavator uphill and downhill to introduce to you:
1. When driving down a steep slope, use the travel joystick and throttle joystick to maintain a low driving speed. When driving up or down on a slope exceeding 15 degrees, the angle between the bucket arm and the boom should be maintained at 90 to 110 degrees, the back of the bucket should be 20 to 30cm away from the ground, and the engine speed should be reduced.
2. If you need to brake when going downhill, put the travel joystick in the middle position, so that the brakes will work automatically.
3. When walking uphill, if the track shoes slip, in addition to relying on the driving force of the track shoes to drive uphill, the pulling force of the bucket rod should also be used to help the machine go uphill.
4. If the engine stalls when going uphill, you can move the travel joystick to the neutral position, lower the bucket to the ground, stop the machine, and then start the engine.
5. When the engine is turned off on a slope, rotation operations are prohibited to prevent the upper structure from rotating under its own weight.
6. If the machine is parked on a slope, do not open the cab door. This may easily cause sudden changes in operating force. The cab door should always be closed.
7. When walking on a slope, do not change the walking direction, otherwise the machine may tip over or slide. If it is necessary to change the walking direction on a slope, it should be done on a gentler and firmer slope.
8. Avoid crossing slopes as this may cause the machine to slide.
9. When working on a slope, do not rotate, as this can easily cause the machine to tip or slide due to loss of balance. Turning and operating the boom should be done carefully at low speeds.
The above is some common knowledge about the uphill and downhill operation of the excavator. If you have any questions that you don’t understand, you can consult our manufacturer.
